Must be accompanied by a person 16 years of age or older. All dogs must be leashed; All other animals must be in a carrier, preferably one that opens from the top.

ATTENTION DOG OWNERS!! All dogs MUST be vaccinated against rabies and have a current one-year or three-year certificate in order to obtain a dog license. It is the New York State Law that ALL dogs be vaccinated by four months of age.

ATTENTION CAT AND FERRET OWNERS!! It is the New York State Law that ALL cats and ferrets in the county, four months of age or over, are to be vaccinated to prevent rabies.

NOTE: For animals previously immunized against rabies, you must bring proof of immunization. If no proof of prior vaccination is presented, a one year certificate will be issued; with proof, a three year certificate will be issued. Ferrets must be vaccinated every year.
