The Worksite Wellness Partnership has recently begun a healthy living initiative working with school age children and Livingston County school districts. HIP HOP- Healthy In Put, Healthy Out Put will assist school staff in developing interventions and programs that will support life long wellness starting with school age children. The first two schools that are piloting HIP HOP is the Mt. Morris Central School and Keshequa/Dalton Schools in Nunda. HIP HOP is partnering with other organizations that are also addressing health and wellness of school age children. This partnership calls themselves F³ (Fighting for Fitness) and includes the Livingston County Department of Health, Noyes Hospital Healthy Heart Partnership, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Livingston County and Genesee Valley BOCES Student Support Services. If you are interested in bringing HIP HOP to your school district contact the Wellness Coordinator @ (585) 724-2786.
