This question was recently answered at presentation covering "The Value of Workplace Wellness Programs How Making Small Changes Can Positively Impact Your Company’s Bottom Line".  The program was presented by the Genesee Valley Health Partnership; Steuben Rural Health Network; S2AY Rural Health Network; and the Livingston County Chamber of Commerce.

 More than 40 business owners, human resource professionals, and wellness providers attended the January 10 event with featured speaker Ron Z. Goetzel, Ph.D.,Director, Cornell University Institute for Productivity Studies; VP Consulting & National Practice, Thompson Medstat Group.

 Dr. Goetzel told attendees how workplace wellness programs not only improve worker health and well-being, but also lower company expenses.  the return on investment of employee health programs
* how to improve employees’ productivity while improving your bottom line — with little cost;

Strategies to address and promote employee wellness was discussed, and attendees learned about low-cost resources in the local community, such as the Livingston Wellness Partnership. The program was supported by a grant from the Charles D. Cook Office of Rural Health.
